Jyotish or Vedic Astrology is the science of light. This science of light helps us to better understand how planetary patterns and energies of the universe show up in us. By looking at the moment you were born and what has been happening in the stars and planets ever since, Jyotish can help us understand how to manifest our true destiny and create success, happiness and harmony on all levels.
Learning Jyotish:
An initial Vedic reading will give you an overview of Vedic Astrology and your birth chart. Together, we will explore your “rising” “moon”, and “sun'“ signs. In your chart reading we will also explore what planetary period you are currently in, and you will receive some suggested practices and guidelines to support your evolution. If you have already received an initial reading, follow-up readings will dive deeper into particular areas of life and look further at the current transits you are going through right now.
1-on-1 Jyotish Reading:
This Jyotish Level 1 Training will give you the opportunity to learn from one of the foremost teachers of Jyotish and will include knowledge of the Planets, the Houses, the Zodiac Signs and more. This training is for anyone interested in learning the spiritual science of Jyotish and will teach students the foundations of Vedic Astrology. Completion of this level 1 training will be a requirement for the Jyotish Level 2 Training. The course is an online self-study video course and allows you to go at your own pace.
Jyotish Level 1 Training:
This Jyotish Level 2 Training is an advanced course that will offer more wisdom and tools to be able to not only better understand Jyotish but begin to share this “science of light” with others. Topics will include more knowledge and insights into Nakshatras, Dashas, Conjunctions, Transits, Upayas, Mantras, Ayurvedic astrology and more. This course will deeply explore the suggested practices that can support our evolution. The course is an online self-study video course and will include personalized zoom coaching sessions with Jamie.

What is the difference between Western Astrology and Jyotish (Vedic) Astrology?
The biggest difference between Western and Vedic is the way that each system calculates the positioning of the 12 signs of the zodiac in the sky and relative locations of the planets within it. Vedic Astrology is a “sidereal astrology.” This means that it uses the zodiac of the fixed stars. Western Astrology employs the “tropical zodiac” or the zodiac of the equinoxes. The two zodiacs are currently around 24 degrees apart, with the Vedic sidereal zodiac falling behind the tropical zodiac.
